Share your book
If you have written a book and want readers to have it free of charge, you can publish it here. There is no fee, and the copyright in your book stays with you.
How it works
- Create an account. Only your real name and an email address are needed.
- Add the book's details and file. A PDF or EPUB, the title, a description and a category.
- Choose a licence. You decide what readers may do with your book. Read about the licences.
- Print and sign the declaration. We prepare a declaration already filled in with your book. Print it, sign it, and upload a scan or a clear photo.
- Review. We check the book and the declaration. Once approved it is published, and you are told the result by email.
Why a signed declaration?
Readers need to be able to trust that every book here may legally be shared. Your declaration is what that trust rests on. It is kept privately and is never published.
Who can submit
- You must have written the book, or own its copyright.
- If you have a contract with a publisher, first make sure you still have the right to release the book free of charge.
- If the book includes other people's images, translations or long quotations, you need their permission.
What if you change your mind?
You can withdraw the book from Potha from your account at any time. The licence, however, cannot be taken back from people who already received the book under it, so choose the licence carefully.
